From the Desk of Mrs. Hodges

Welcome to a new year!  I am excited about getting to know my new second graders!  This is going to be a great year for your child and me.  I am so happy about having your child in my class!  We will be learning together this year.  I know this is a very important time in your’s and your child’s life.  Please know that I will do all that I can to make your child’s year successful and productive.  Parent support is key to a child’s success in school.  So, please feel free to schedule an appointment with me to discuss any concerns that you may have.

First, let me tell you a little about myself.  This is my fourth year in the 2nd grade. I have been married for two years to my husband, Clint. We currently live in White Pine, on his family’s farm.  We love horses and being outdoors, especially on the lake with our new boat!  I am a graduate of Walters State Community College, with my Associates Degree and a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, with a Bachelors Degree. I am currently in the processing of getting my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial also.  This will be my third year as a basketball coach.  I coached the boys and girls for the past two years, but this year I will just be coaching the girls.

Once again, let me say WELCOME and THANK YOU for allowing me to spend time with your child.  THANK YOU in advance for your support in your child’s education.  Let’s have a great year!!!

                                                               Sincerely,

                                                               Mrs. Elizabeth Hodges
